Week 71: December 10-16, 2019 Cambios

Hey Everyone,

Wow, Time is literally flying by,  I only have four cycles left on the mission. It is so crazy. Today we went to the central where I dropped my Son Elder Palmer, who is also going to train and open area! I am staying here in Providencia and I am so excited to keep working with all the members and investigators we have!

I just wanted to share my testimony that I truly know that this is the church of Jesus Christ here on earth. Through the gospel, we can receive the help of God to be able to do all things! I know that He loves us and we can come to feel his love through diligent study of the Book of Mormon!

Week 70: December 3-9, 2019 Spiritual Soldier

 Hey Everyone

This week has been super great! we have had a ton of citas and been able to truly help and invite others to come unto Christ by receiving the restored gospel. On Saturday we had the wonderful opportunity to eat with a Member ́s nonmember family. His wife had long ago heard from the missionaries and had become extremely offended. This was the first time since 2011 she has allowed missionaries into her home. Thankfully, quickly we were able to gain her confidence and then asked to share a message with her. She readily agreed. As we shared an unprepared lesson the spirit filled the room, and she readily promised to read the Book of Mormon without even being asked. Truly the spirit testified to all of us that this is the truth. We will continue to visit her and hope to help her progress in the gospel.

Another experience that was super spiritual as well was with a very active member named Gerardo, the only problem is that he struggles deeply with tobacco and alcohol addiction. As he expressed his struggle and as we listened, we were able to read from the Book of Mormon and help motivate him. As the big and strong man cried, and we listened to the new music video I will go and do, we felt the power of God testify that truly we can do all things that the Lord has commanded! I know the Book of Mormon to be true and that God loves us so much and desires us to be the best that we can be! I invite you all to go and read this book and feel his power! LOVE YOU ALL!

Week 68-69 November 19 - December 2, 2019

Hey Everyone

Happy Thanksgiving everybody Hope you all enjoyed it. We had a super awesome thanksgiving full of adventure and delicious food. We started off the day by heading to the offices to have interviews with Presidente Maldonado, those were pretty cool! We then as a district (four other sister missionaries and my companion and I), went to KFC where we had the most American Thanksgiving meal we could manage by ourselves. The chicken was super delicious. After a super fun meal, we headed back to our areas! while we were in the taxi we got t-boned out of nowhere. It wasn't super hard at all, but we had to switch taxis. It was super funny. After that, we had a few citas and got permission from the mission president to go with the rest of the zone to eat thanksgiving dinner with some members! They made us feel like home, it was so sweet they even made name cards for each Elder. It was so sweet. After a delicious dinner, we headed to a cita with an investigator named Brandon who is progressing super well! On the way, I talked to the family and it reminded me so much of how special it is to be able to have an eternal family. I know that families are truly part of our Heavenly Father's plan. That one day we can have an eternal family, how special is that. As we testified to him of this, the spirit-filled the air and Brandon decided to be baptized. It was honestly such a great day! I love you all! I invite you all to think of the love you feel from God in your life.
