this week.
So,
This past weekend was so much fun! it was a blast! Literally! On Saturday a
member invited us to go eat barbacoa with them, boy was it delicious! Actopan
is the birthplace of barbacoa, and boy, do they know how to cook it! The food
was absolutely delicious. It was an explosion of flavor. If you have never
tried Mexican barbacoa cooked in the ground with cactus it is a must.
After that we had an
amazing baptism for one of our investigatos who´s name is Emilliano! The spirit
was extremely strong, it was so cool to have this baptism especially since we
found him only 3 weeks ago!
On another note, the
way that we heat up water here is with boilers.
You have to manually ignite it every morning. Yesterday when I went to
turn it on, the pilot light was not on, so without checking if it was on the
right setting, I stuck the lighter in and lit the boiler, A huge ball of fire
shot towards me and I definitely singed my eyebrows and eyelashes. It was
definitely a heck of a way to start ones Sunday. Don´t worry everything is great
and I am in one piece!
