Week 43: May 21-27, 2019 Pure Pachuca

Hey Everyone,                                                                               May 27, 2019

So, it has been really awesome here in Pachuca! It's nice to actually be close to civilization and have access to actual stores and things like that. The area here in Pitahayas is super cool area it is a big area and to get to all the citas it is necessary to use the bike but our bikes broke so yeah. The area is super cool, the only problem is that most of the area are private neighborhoods with no access to the people who we are here to serve and teach. IT is a really cool area and has a lot of cool investigators.
Recently the previous Elders were able to baptize a woman named Argentina. Argentina is a single mother of 3 children and a set of 12-year-old twin girls that were also baptized. Before the Baptism she had the horrible habit of smoking and gave it up to be baptized. Argentina is a wonderful person who is trying to change her life and follow God, but this past Wednesday we received a call from her telling us that all the stresses of life and the fact that she had recently lost her job and that she went to the store bought a single cigarette, (because that is what they do here) smoked one puff and through it to the ground. We visited her at 10:30 (past our bedtime we received permission) with our mission leader and were able to talk to her and give her council.  we gave her words of encouragement but condoned the mistake. Through tears she testified to us of her desire to change and be better!! After we talked and made plans to talk with the bishop, we invited Argentina to pray to our heavenly father. Through Tears, she prayed, one of the most heartfelt and sincere prayers, for help and guidance for our heavenly father. It was truly beautiful. I know that we can talk with our heavenly father anytime, anyplace, and anywhere. Talk to him. He is here for you.

LOVE YOU ALL

Love you,
Elder Snow
